“Chi va piano, va sano e va lontano”: According to an Italian proverb, “If you have an easy-going and relaxed approach to life, you’ll live more healthily and longer”. And this is exactly the attitude which is lived every day in our Vapianos—by both our guests and our employees, the Vapianisti. It has been this way since the 22nd of October, 2002, when the first Vapiano in Hamburg, Germany, opened its doors at the “Hohen Bleichen”. Two years later, the founders decided to set Vapiano on a world tour as a franchise concept. Today there are already over 150 Vapianos in 29 countries on 5 continents, and many more international openings planned for the future.
In cities around the world, people who meet in our relaxed setting share one important quality: the love of enjoying life and sharing spontaneous and genuine companionship.
The long oak tables in the Vapianos are an open invitation to communication—with friends, family, or simply with other guests. Conversation comes easy in good company where all are talking, laughing, and of course, having a wonderful dining experience.
Pasta, pizzas, antipasti and salads are ordered directly from the chefs at the individual stations in the middle of the Vapiano. The chefs prepare all of the dishes to order in front of the guests. Everyone can have his meal prepared to his own personal preference. Favorite dishes can be created, and then individually refined. The herb garden and the fresh herbs on the tables are not just for decoration, but to offer the special taste that every dish deserves.
The guests will see how the pasta and dolci are made fresh each day in the glassed-in manifattura in the middle of each Vapiano. Our pizza dough, our sauces and dressings, and our pesto are all prepared in-house and guaranteed to be made of the finest ingredients. Every Vapiano all around the world takes care of producing its own food, for Vapiano does not have a central production facility.
Those guests who want to enjoy an after-dinner coffee or drink can move from their table to the bar or the comfortable lounge. Thanks to the smart-card payment system, they just pay for their consumption at the desk when they are ready to leave the restaurant.
