Chile Con Carne

Step 1.0

Chop the onion and garlic.

Step 2.0

Heat oil in a wide pan. Add onion, garlic, meat, cumin and chili and saute for about 3 minutes.

Step 3.0

Season with salt. Add bouillon and tomatoes and simmer covered for about 25 minutes.

Step 4.0

Drain beans in a colander, rinse and drain.

Step 5.0

Halfway through cooking time, add beans and simmer, covered, until done.

Step 6.0

Chop cilantro. Serve with crème fraîche, cilantro and bread.

  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 600 g beef cutlets
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp. chili mix
  • Salt
  • 1 dl beef broth
  • 1 can chopped peeled tomatoes à 400 g
  • 1 can kidney beans à 435 g, drained 310 g
  • ½ bunch coriander
  • 4 tbsp crème fraîche
