Roland & Karin Lenz, Thurgau, Schweiz, 2018 - 75 cl This Cuvée is created in the vineyard already using a dedicated process. A few days before the planned harvest, the Lenz family pinches off sap flow to the grape stalks, allowing the juice and aromas to concentrate inside the berries. This method of producing lightly raisined berries lends the wine a more opulent fullness of aromas and lush texture. Seductive scent of tea roses, Amarena cherries, dried fig, coconut and white pepper. On the palate it surprises with a wonderful fruitiness, warming fragrances, juicy acidity and silky soft tannins. It opens its rainbow of tastes of considerable length and emphasis.
